With start of the new year fresh and clean, people take the opportunity to be full of hope and good intensions, for example: “This year I‘ll loose those unnecessary 5 pounds“ or “from this year on sports on a regular basis“. That usually lasts the first two weeks till the stress and the normal madness kicks back in, then all of those “good intensions” are forgotten :P. Proof me that I’m wrong :-D
The 4th of the year already. I’m back from vacation, slowly catching up in SL. Rewind slowly?!? heheeh who am I talking to... .
Logging into SL after being gone for the holidays, making my way through endless note cards Olivia Zenovka brought my attention to the upcoming Lion-skins .:[SU]:. that will be released today, along with a big celebration, party and fun time. DJ Giela Gelpaso will be spinning tunes.

Let me try to explain what happens when I read or hear the word new and skin close together, a chemical reaction, excitement, curiosity and joy a little bit like Dino the Dino- dog from the Flintstones feels when Fred Flintstone comes home from work.
After reading the announcement and scanning the ad for some minutes, I had to decide if I wanted to review the new line. Under normal circumstances not a hard decision but it is my 1st day home a Sunday, I’m a lazy bum and the other reason I was trying demos of the previous lines of Lion skins and in the end always decided not to buy them cause they just weren’t for me. Not the right skin tone and little other things. Yes in my skin addiction I tried and bought countless skins, so over the time being almost 2 years old now I got very picky especially for skins.
Back to those good intensions, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t say YES, YES, YES! Me, me, me! for a skin review, besides the ad looked very inviting. Said, done I send my request for review and here we go.
Don’t know about you but I love these moments when I wear a new skin and wait for it to Rezz, changing like in “I Dream of Jeannie“ in the blink of an eye thanks to the SL client still a dream. What would be the world without dreams? Anyways I stared at myself erm my Avi ;) and was pleasantly surprised with what I saw.

There are two kind of skins those that wear your shape and others that are more adaptive and allow you to keep your facial structure for the most part. The .:[SU]:. Line by Lion-skins goes in the last category. What I recognized looks familiar with the previous skin lines is the eyebrows and the nose. But the all over look gives a totally new skin/ face feel and enhanced. What I noticed the very first time I saw Lion skins is the skin structure is very unique it's not simply flat, you actually see „skin“ witch makes it look much more realistic a big plus in my opinion, realistic but still beautiful ;). I know some of you don‘t like it too real but this isn‘t the case here. What I really like are the new lips. Juicy they sure look like they want to be kissed and deserve it. Other plus points are the belly and the feet. The feet?!? Yes I heard that, and well just that you know there‘s feet and feet^^ besides a birdy told me LL is working on this issue, make our Avatars feet more neat. Then you surely want a skin to do those justice don‘t you? Hands are alright, chest has nice shades simply the nipples could be more sharp.
Not sure if Justin meant this skin when he sang „ you‘re bringing sexy back“ „YEAH“ but there is no need to hide it. the back and arms legs leave room for improvement in the next line. Skins come in four skin tones on the pictures you see: LionSkins-SU-fair 5, LionSkins-SU-pale 16 and LionSkins-SU-sun 6, with two brow options: brown and bit thicker/ darker brown. The bikini zone is trimmed and even with the Hottest hot pants you cant see anything peaking out (those that I tried).
If you love make ups and when I say make up‘s I mean those that you see on the runways when John Galliano presents his newest creations, then the .:[SU]:. Lion skin is a must have for you. These make ups are unique and extremely well done, from the eye shadow to the blush on the cheeks and the lipstick color. All well thought out and amazingly detailed with 40!! make up‘s to „choose“ from, basic to extraordinary style.
Pricey is what you find else where 800L$ for a single and nice and fair 2500L$ for a 4 skin pack.

I have to say I‘m very happy I got to do this review its great to see skin designers improve themselves, and I can‘t help it I just need to own them all :D And since its new year and you might be craving for a change before you cut that beautiful hair in RL, go deeper in the subject and get a new skin, in SL a Lion- skin. Why? Cause you can! This way you can ROAR it out to the world change can be a good thing.
